Happy 9th Anniversary -- Timeline image released

EverQuest is now 9 years old with 14 expansions. That time moves by so fast is quite amazing. I remember when I started out playing EQ -- it was back in 1999, before the first expansion, Ruins of Kunark was released.
Checking out the timeline image that SOE has made of EverQuest brings back a lot of memories and you can really tell how big the game has become. I quit EQ in 2004 and since then seven (7) more expansions have been released.
In the mood of some nostalgia? Check out the awesome EverQuest timeline image below. Anything from GM events to Expansions being released is listed and more.

riggahIf EQ was even relevant any more we might be impressed.
Don't get me wrong, the fact that it has lasted this long is definitely an accomplishment, but the fact that EQ2 isn't even mentioned is a testament to SOE's ineptitude when it comes to innovation.
EQ is obviously a great game. The fact that it's still alive and kicking after just about 9 years is amazing. The fact that SOE hasn't produced anything worth mention since then (and SWG would've been great if they hadn't broken it) is a sad statement in itself.
